    3. You\u2019ll get some plain text, and you should use the \u201cCtrl + F\u201d function to look for the word \u201cReceived.\u201d Look for the set of numbers separated by periods, and you have your IP address.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Yahoo Mail has a slightly different setup again. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Open the email that you would like to find the IP address for. <\/li>\n\n\n\n

Check the IP address that appears next to this phrase, and you\u2019ll have what you need.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Once you have obtained the IP address, you need to copy it into a lookup tool of some sort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        There are lots of online IP lookup tools that work well and will give you information about the internet service provider associated with the address, and the geographic location of the individual. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Tools like IP-Tracker.org<\/a> and IP-Lookup.net<\/a> are good options. They are easy to use and don\u2019t cost anything, which makes them a very attractive option for getting more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        You can simply paste the IP address from the box in the email into the search bar on the website, and find out the approximate location of the IP. It may also give you information about the organization that owns the IP address, plus some other details if they are available and relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
